Start at the parking lot off Manila Drive. Walk to Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch and start the hike at Joice Trail, which is right across from the ranch. Continue on Joice Trail for about a mile; the intersections are clearly marked. At the intersection with Bernal Hill Trail, bear left, and continue for about a quarter of a mile. Bear left when you reach Mine Trail, and bear right when you reach the intersection with Pueblo Trail. Continue on Pueblo Trail until you reach the Pueblo Day Use Area, which has a volleyball net, picnic tables, barbecue grills and even horseshoe pits. Avoid the road that branches off to your left from Pueblo Trail; it leads to Muriel Wright Girls Ranch, a gated juvenile facility. Return the way you came.
