Start at the Limekiln trailhead. Continue for a mile, and then turn back. Although the beginning is an uphill ascent, the rest of the hike has more gradual rolling terrain. The park winds through the hills and mountains, so you have a great view of the Sierra Azul mountains. Also there are some spectacular views of the Lexington Reservoir from this trail.
You can extend this hike by hiking for another mile all the way to the junction with Priest Rock Trail, which is actually in Sierra Azul preserve, and then returning the way you came. If you want to hike to the top, you can continue left on Priest Rock Trail, but the hike will be difficult.
