Sanborn-Skyline Park

Sanborn-Skyline County Park is a huge park filled with history, trails for hiking and biking, camping, meadows for picnicing, a stage and annual theatre production, a lake, and even a science center. It can be accessed easily from three sides, but all three access points are quite far apart, a testament to the size of the park.

Sanborn-Skyline offers a wide range of trails from the relatively flat, wide fire road of John Nicholas Trail to Lake Ranch Reservoir, to narrower paths that meander through redwood groves, like Peterson Memorial Trail.  Also check out Sunnyvale Mountain to Indian Rock for the full range of what a trail can be - from shady groves to sunny bluffs, including some great scrambling rocks.
