Materials:
- Foil
- Electric Frypan/Skillet
- Crayons
- Paper
Procedure:
- Line Electric Frypan with foil.
- Child peels paper from crayons, then drops bits of crayon onto warm frypan.
- Observe what happens as crayons rest in warm pan. Melting should be observed. Colors become more transparent as they melt, and flatten out.
- After crayons have melted, place paper on top and press down.
- Raise the paper and look at it – crayons should adhere to it.
