On September 10th from 6 to 9 PM, we celebrate 5 years of Stroller Hikes with a public birthday party. Stroller Hikes’ partners are contributing to this free public event for which we are planning on 300 people attending. Santa Clara County has offered up two adjacent group use spaces on the side of Vasona Park near to the carousel, train, and the jet at Oak Meadow Park. Pirate’s Booty will provide delicious snacks, and we have a growing roster of raffle prizes from community members and local businesses like Beauty Bloc, Blossom Birth, and more. We’ll have sugar cookie decorating, nature-inspired crafts, and a moonlit hike over the last half of the party.
A lot of you aren’t able to attend next weekend’s Stroller Hikes 5th Annual Camping Trip, because we’re “sold out.” If you were looking to connect with like-minded families, celebrate free outdoor opportunities and local open spaces to exercise and explore with kids, come join us on September 10th. There is a parking fee at Vasona Park of $6 per car, but you can park in town and walk in. The party is free!
Amy, Jennifer, and Debbie have been busily soliciting for donations for supplies and raffle prizes. If you have something to donate, please let us know! Donations are tax deductable.
Mark those calendars – September 10th 6 to 9 PM and indicate you’re coming by “buying” a free ticket at Eventbrite (http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1931265467), please – we want to keep a running head count! Thanks!
